Squirrel Hill
Squirrel Hill is one of Pittsburgh’s largest neighborhoods with homes ranging from high-rise apartment buildings on bustling Forbes and Murray Avenues to the mansions in beautiful Murdoch Farms. The area’s culturally diverse population includes a mix of families, senior citizens, young singles, and students, and is served by religious organizations of many different denominations. Squirrel Hill is fortunate to be bordered by both Frick Park and Schenley Park, offering residents a host of recreational activities including biking, walking, ice skating, tennis, and golf.
The commercial corridor of Forbes and Murray features a variety of ethnic restaurants, delis, bakeries, grocery stores, a movie theater, ice cream shops, and more. Lots of residents take advantage of the health club and other social and fitness activities offered by the JCC.
