Oakland
Surrounded by Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Greenfield, Bloomfield, and the Hill District, Oakland is an active commercial and residential neighborhood. Home to the University of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Carnegie Mellon University, and Carlow College, Oakland is the medical, educational, and technological center of Pittsburgh. It is also the cultural center of Pittsburgh, housing the Carnegie Library?s beautiful main branch, the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, Carnegie Music Hall, and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall. Oakland adjoins the beautiful and expansive Schenley Park.
